主人公の上杉達也は、甲子園決勝で須見工業高校のエース、新田明男と対峙します。達也は、亡き弟・和也の夢であった甲子園優勝を成し遂げるため、また幼馴染の浅倉南との約束を果たすために、マウンドに立ちます。激闘の末、達也は最後のバッター新田を打ち取り、見事甲子園優勝を果たすのです。試合後、達也は南に「南、もう一度、俺のことを好きだと言ってくれ」と告白し、二人の関係は新たな局面を迎えます。物語は、甲子園優勝という目標を達成した達也と南が、共に未来へ向かって歩み始める姿で幕を閉じます。
感想・レビュー
甲子園優勝という和也の夢を達也が叶える最終回は、感動的でした。特に、決勝戦での新田との最後の対決は、これまでの物語の集大成として非常に熱い展開でした。そして、試合後の達也の南への告白は、長い間続いてきた二人の関係に一つの答えを提示し、読者としても「ついに！」という気持ちになりました。ただのスポーツ漫画ではなく、恋愛や青春、そして深い喪失感と向き合う物語として、心に残る素晴らしい最終回でした。

Summary of the final episode
The protagonist, Tatsuya Uesugi, confronts Akio Nitta, the ace of Sumi Kogyo High School, in the Koshien final. Tatsuya stands on the mound to fulfill his late brother Kazuya’s dream of winning Koshien and to keep his promise to his childhood friend Minami Asakura. After a fierce battle, Tatsuya strikes out the last batter, Nitta, and wins the Koshien championship. After the game, Tatsuya confesses to Minami, “Minami, please tell me you love me again,” and their relationship enters a new phase. The story concludes with Tatsuya and Minami, having achieved their goal of winning Koshien, beginning to walk toward the future together.
Review of the final episode
The final chapter, where Tatsuya fulfills Kazuya’s dream of winning Koshien, was moving. In particular, the final confrontation with Nitta in the final game was an incredibly thrilling climax to the entire story. And Tatsuya’s confession to Minami after the game provided an answer to their long-standing relationship, and as a reader, I felt a sense of “finally!” It was a wonderful and memorable finale that was more than just a sports manga; it was a story about love, youth, and confronting deep loss.
