Summary of the final episode
The protagonist, Eren Yeager, has been pursuing the mystery of the world outside the walls and the giants that exist there. In the final chapter, Eren activates “The Rumbling,” which will destroy the world, and faces off against his former friends who are trying to stop him. Eren sacrifices himself to save the world and to protect Mikasa and the others he loves. The story concludes with the revelation that Eren loved Mikasa after his death and with the world temporarily regaining peace.
Review of the final episode
The final chapter was shocking, as the true intentions of Eren’s actions and his feelings for Mikasa were revealed. I felt sadness and his loneliness in Eren’s attempt to save the world, even at the cost of many sacrifices. It was a heavy conclusion that made me think deeply about whether his actions were right or wrong.
