最終回は、ルシウスが故郷ローマで、最高の浴場を作り上げたことに感動しました。彼が現代日本で得た知識と経験が、ローマの人々を幸せにするという結末は、読んでいてとても嬉しかったです。文化の違いを面白おかしく描きつつ、人と人との繋がりを温かく描いてくれる、この作品らしい最終回でした。お風呂好きとしては、ルシウスが作るローマの浴場を実際に見てみたい、という気持ちでいっぱいになりました。

Lucius Modestus, a Roman bath architect, used his ability to time-slip to modern Japan to bring various ideas for baths back to Rome. In the final chapter, Lucius is depicted completing his final work, the ultimate hot spring facility. He combines his knowledge from modern Japanese hot springs with Roman technology to create a bath that can truly heal people’s hearts. The story concludes with Lucius’s work being recognized by the Roman emperor and his success as a bath architect. He cherishes the connections he made in modern Japan and lives out his life as a bridge between the cultures of ancient Rome and modern Japan.
Review of the final episode
The final chapter moved me with Lucius’s creation of the ultimate bath in his hometown of Rome. I was very happy to read that the knowledge and experience he gained in modern Japan would lead to the happiness of the Roman people. It was a finale that felt true to the work, humorously depicting cultural differences while also warmly portraying human connection. As a bath lover, I was filled with the desire to actually see the Roman bath that Lucius built.
