感想・レビュー
最終回は、春日くんの成長した姿に、安堵と感動を覚えました。中学時代のあの歪んだ関係が、彼に深い傷を残しつつも、人間としての成長に繋がったのだと感じました。明確なハッピーエンドではありませんでしたが、春日くんが過去を乗り越え、自分らしく生きる道を見つけたことが何よりも嬉しかったです。人には誰しも心に「惡の華」を抱えているのかもしれない、それでも生きていくことの強さを見せてくれた、深いメッセージ性のある作品でした。

The final episode of The Flowers of Evil
Summary of the final episode
The protagonist, Takao Kasuga, overcomes his past emotional trauma from middle school and lives a new life as a high school student. He confronts his new friends and girlfriend with the bitter memories of Nanako Saeki and Sawa Nakamura, whom he met in middle school, in his heart. The final chapter depicts Kasuga breaking with his past self and growing into an adult. He accepts his past self as “The Flowers of Evil” and still decides to live his life positively. The story concludes with Kasuga settling his past and beginning to live a new life. He then watches from a distance as Sawa Nakamura, with whom he was deeply involved, begins to walk her own path.
Review of the final episode
The final chapter made me feel a sense of relief and emotion as I saw how much Kasuga had grown. I felt that the twisted relationships he had in middle school, while leaving deep wounds, led to his growth as a person. Although it was not a clear happy ending, I was overjoyed that Kasuga overcame his past and found a way to live true to himself. It was a work with a deep message that showed the strength of living on, even when you have “The Flowers of Evil” in your heart, which everyone might have.
