最終回の内容
主人公の安藤と、カリスマ的な能力を持つ「魔王」こと犬養の最終決戦が描かれます。犬養は人々の心を操り、絶大な権力を手中に収めようとしますが、安藤は自身の能力「腹話術」を駆使して、犬養の思惑を阻止しようとします。最終回では、犬養の演説を妨害し、彼に支配されていた人々を解放することに成功します。しかし、犬養は最後の手段として自らを犠牲にして、安藤に自身の「腹話術」を託します。物語は、安藤が犬養の意思を継ぎ、新たな「魔王」として社会の歪みを正していくことを示唆して幕を閉じます。安藤は兄・潤也が遺した「言葉」の力を受け継ぎ、静かに社会の裏側で戦い続けることを決意します。
感想・レビュー
原作小説を読んだ身としても、最終回は非常に深い余韻が残るものでした。犬養という強大な敵を倒しても、社会の歪みは消えないという現実が、重く心に響きました。安藤が犬養の能力を継承し、新たな「魔王」として生きていく決意を固めるシーンは、絶望の中にも希望を感じさせてくれました。単なる勧善懲悪ではない、人間の善悪や社会のあり方を深く考えさせられる、素晴らしい結末だったと思います。

Summary of the final episode
The final battle between the protagonist Ando and Inukai, the charismatic “Maoh,” is depicted. Inukai tries to manipulate people’s minds and seize absolute power, but Ando uses his own ability, “ventriloquism,” to thwart Inukai’s plans. In the final chapter, Ando succeeds in disrupting Inukai’s speech and freeing the people who were under his control. However, as a last resort, Inukai sacrifices himself and entrusts his “ventriloquism” to Ando. The story concludes by suggesting that Ando will inherit Inukai’s will and correct the distortions in society as the new “Maoh.” Ando decides to carry on the “power of words” left behind by his brother Junya and continue to fight silently in the shadows of society.
Review of the final episode
As someone who has read the original novel, the final chapter left a very deep impression on me. The reality that the distortions in society do not disappear even after defeating a powerful enemy like Inukai resonated heavily with me. The scene where Ando inherits Inukai’s ability and resolves to live as the new “Maoh” gave me a sense of hope even amidst despair. It was a wonderful conclusion that went beyond simple good-versus-evil and made me think deeply about human morality and the nature of society.
