主人公の宮本大は、世界一のジャズプレイヤーになるという夢を抱き、地元仙台から単身で東京へ上京します。東京では、同世代のピアニスト、沢辺雪祈とドラマー、玉田俊二とジャズトリオ「JASS」を結成し、ライブハウスで実力を磨く日々を送ります。最終回では、JASSがメジャーデビューを果たすことが決定。3人はそれぞれの道に進むことになりますが、いつか再び世界で最高のジャズを奏でることを誓い、物語は幕を閉じます。大は、この後「BLUE GIANT SUPREME」でドイツへ渡り、さらなる挑戦を続けます。

BLUE GIANTの最終回は、一つの区切りでありながら、新たな物語の始まりを予感させる素晴らしいものでした。JASSの3人がそれぞれの道に進むことになり寂しさはありましたが、彼らがいつか世界で再会し、最高のジャズを奏でることを誓う姿に胸が熱くなりました。最終話で描かれた大の成長と、彼がこれから歩む壮大な旅路への期待感が、読者の心を掴んで離しませんでした。ジャズへの情熱と友情の尊さを再確認させてくれる、感動的な最終回でした。

Summary of the final episode
The protagonist, Dai Miyamoto, leaves his hometown of Sendai alone for Tokyo with the dream of becoming the world’s greatest jazz player. In Tokyo, he forms the jazz trio “JASS” with his peers, pianist Yukinori Sawabe and drummer Shunji Tamada, and spends his days honing his skills at live houses. In the final chapter, JASS is offered a major debut. The three decide to go their separate ways, but they vow to play the world’s best jazz together again someday, and the story concludes. After this, Dai goes to Germany in “BLUE GIANT SUPREME” to continue his challenges.
